Although we may prefer to keep the ceremony template reasonably uniform and Catholic/Christian, there is plenty of room to allow for the couple to make decisions regarding what shall occur during the ceremony. Here is a sample list of items that can be customized per the couple's request:
- Scripture--We can provide a list to help the couple select which passages to be read. This includes a First Reading from the Old Testament, the Psalm, a Second Reading from the New Testament, and the Gospel. (The Gospel Acclamation is usually standard; if you have a preference of which music we use for it, we can try it.)
- Music--In addition to any prelude music to be played while guests arrive, we can help select a processional/recessional (which can be standard or not).
- Vows--We encourage the couple to write their own vows. However, standard vows can be used if desired. (This can also include the declaration of intention and the ring ceremony.)
